We're with TCIF also, which took over Textron's floorplan business. There's another company a dealer or two on here uses called Medallion Financial Services in Memphis TN.

Some companies like Grasshopper do their own floorplanning. The eXmark distributor here does their own. Bad Boy uses a local bank there in Arkansas called First Community Bank. Every company is different, but more companies use GE and TCIF than anybody else.

We just got set up with them. It all went very smoothly. They are replacing GE for TORO & EXMARK for us. We will see how things go when the switch takes place in mid November.

They're basically TCFIF. Other than floorchecks all the time, TCFIF is pretty good to work with.

I hate floor checks, seems like they always show up when I am not there. They make me feel like a criminal when they can't find a unit around the shop.....lol.

Default floor checker

you need to teach the floor checkers that they work for you not you them . tell them to call and set a date and time for them to come see you not you them. tell them you are in it for the long haul and they need to get with your program not you theres. they need paying accounts and should work for them. they are not going to walk away from a paying account .

Tried that one. They won't give us anything beyond a day's notice, and even then, they only did that like once. I get along with my TCFIF floorchecker. My GE checkers....well, let's just say they're not so bright when it comes to equipment.

Hadn't seen anyone from GE for almost a year, then - BOOM - two months in a row. Now haven't seen one in about three months. Both times was told I was missing equipment - only to point out the items they hadn't checked. Came out clean both times. Not a wonder to me. I kinda keep up with that stuff.
