Default Company Insurance

Looking for a new Business insurance company. Are there any national insurance companies any one uses that they are happy with. Sick of paying ridiculous money and getting horrible service.

Beware of lowballers. We signed up with a lowballing insurance company that had decent coverage. Turns out, they have the right to go back and audit at any time they want, and if your sales increased, they can nail you with back-premiums. Your state laws may vary, but that's legal in Texas. We ended up paying $31,000 more for insurance than they quoted, making that coverage super expensive. We fought it, and they threatened to sue. We found out, not only could they win, but if we refused to pay, they could get us blacklisted to where we could not get insurance at all.

Since then, we set up with Federated, and asked specific questions about this. They are set up to work with growing businesses, and will not nail you with huge hidden costs. They also have the most thorough coverage.

Others on this board use them, and have for years. They are not the cheapest up front, but they likely are in the long run.

We used federated until we found a local company that was cheaper line for line. Federated reviewed their policy and was going to match the price but we opted to go local. We had no problems with them and had them insure us for about 7 or 8 years.

Default Federated

We were with Federated for over 30 years, last year their rates went up $10,000. We signed with Sentry and have been happy so far. What a business !
