It's bad when the Dealers hear about the Recall on the evening New and not from the manufacture before it is public. Heck I don't even know what they want us to fix on it have to call them in the morning and wait on hold. while someone decides what to do.

What a lovely time for us to have just signed up to service Homelite stuff... And here all I needed was an air filter housing for a Ryobi branded Homelite trimmer....

Of course, seeing as how they have our zipcode AND phone number wrong on the service locator, it's no wonder we have not been getting any calls from people needing Homelite service since we signed up.

Homelite Dealers, warranty code for this recall is HCP-082608, allowable time is .5 hour or a half hour. Procedure for repair: Remove drum & sand paint off OR start saw, rev up to high rpm's and trip brake 3 consecutive times to remove paint. From tech support at Homelite.
