Were these stolen from your store? Have you gone to the websites and updated the registration to stolen? Since we are in Louisiana, we will keep an eye out for them. You never know where they will end up!

I agree, especially some of the Shindaiwa units that are no longer available... heck, all of those are no longer available come to think of it, since the HomePro units are gone along with the chainsaws and the "Alliance" models, the T231 is gone from the product line too I guess with the 242 taking its place.

And yes MowerGirl, from our shop. Updating registrations on the Echo site will need to be explained to us, as I was not totally sure what to put in all the fields as far as owner and purchase date and stuff. I sent the list to our rep, so i'll see what he says.

Watch eBay and Craigslist. Both of these are great outlets for stolen equipment....

I've never done it for new stuff either, only customers equipment. We had a chainsaw stolen from the floor several years ago. We didn't even notice it, but our sales rep did. We reported it, and believe it or not, a few months later the sheriffs dept came by with it. It still had the tag on it and was in the local pawn shop! We never expected to see it. It still makes me mad that the pawn shop took it in knowing it had to be stolen!

Most pawn shops are dirty and only interested in padding their pockets for a few more $$$. I deal with them frequently and trust me, they buy stuff all the time that anyone would know is stolen.
