Default Wrong SN tag on Blower

Had a member of the sheriffs dept come in yesterday with an ECHO PB-500T blower he picked up from the pawn shop. Trying to find owner, since it may have been stolen. The serial number tag said PB200! The scratch marks were there where they have scraped off the old tag. Guess the pawn shop guy didn't see PB500T on the blower, but he did record the PB200/SN on the sales slip! Deputy was going to check out a couple of guys who reported theirs stolen to see if it was theirs!

Had a guy rent our cut-off saw about three weeks ago. I've kinda' known this guy for a number of years, he was always responsible, worked a regular job, etc. The sheriff's dept. in the next county called and said they had our saw. Seems this guy had went over to the dark side and was "salvaging" some stuff that wasn't his. At least, I got my saw back, and by the return due date, too!!!

Did you run the serial number from the pb200 tag? It may show up on the Echo tech site. Could be a lead.

Never registered. I checked with our current distributor and the old one, but it wasn't from either of them.
