Question Tanaka Dealer Online Summit - Topic #1

Hi,
Welcome to the Tanaka Dealer Online Summit on the PPEC. Tell us what you think, share your successes with other dealers, or just watch from the sidelines.

Topic #1: Selling Online
Do you currently sell Tanaka online? Are you thinking about it? Do you service Tanaka products that were purchased online? How should Tanaka enforce a MAP policy online? What should the penalty be for selling under MAP? How to deal with eBay?

Moderation is the only way to enforce all of the above, as in a crew of folks combing the web for policy violators. They could start on lawnsite.com

You guy's crack me up. You sell on the internet, you sell directly to anyone who will buy your product, then you want to come here and ask people what to do to control pricing.
And you wonder why you have no dealer base.

It's simple, just read Stihl's policies and procedures for their dealers.

Problem Solved!

Now that wasn't so difficult was it?

This is a really odd post. Tanaka sells online all the time. Yet, they want us to tell them what they should do to stop it?
I don't get it, this is just plain goofy.

Hey, Mr TANAKA quy, I don't think you are very well liked on here. Why don't you go over to lawnsite.com. Oh, let them know it may be hard to find a dealer to provide parts and service for your products. Oh well, when they breakdown, they can just throw them away and buy some more off the internet!

I was just on your website and trying to locate a dealer in my area. When I clicked on the DELER LOCATOR tab, nothing happened. When I clicked on Parts, nothing happened. Does this mean there are no dealers? Does this mean there are no replacement parts available? Just curious!
